Public Option vs. Private Health Care

Hey Everyone:)
I am curious as to why Barack Obama chooses to bring this issue up, even after it was so popular when Clinton was in office. This is a very intense debate, health care is something every American can relate to.
If the Health Care/Public Option were to pass say even this year, the Gov. says it will not take effect until 2013. Some critics such as Glenn Beck and Rush Limbaugh say that is very interesting considering Barack Obama will have supposedly have just entered his second term leaving the people with no choice but to wait 4 years to give it and Obama the boot. \
It is also important for another reason, if the bill were to pass we would start paying for it immediately. That strikes me as odd considering they also claim it wouldn't be a burden to the tax-payer. If it isn't a burden why do we need to start paying for it 3 years before we receive anything?
Now, HC (Health Care) has been debated back and forth for hours at "Town Halls". But there are still many questions to be answered, such as: If this Public Option did pass and a tax payer pays taxes-going toward their HC, why would they stay with their private health insurance? So they can pay double?
If an individual pays a certain amount monthly to the Government for HC, the Gov. would then need to pay for prescriptions and hospital visits etc. what would happen if the hospital bill goes over what that individual has paid into it? The government would pay right? When the Gov. pays there is 1 of 2 things that could happen, they only give pharmacies and medical offices a set amount for procedures and whatever is left is a loss for the medical industry. And what happens when the medical industry looses? They stop experimenting, creating, and the competition goes away.
The other option is the Gov. pays the full cost which would bankrupt the American dollar even further, because the Gov. must get their money form somewhere. If the latter is true then this "reform" will cost much more than meets the eye... No one wins but the one who doesn't pay, and those are the only supporters of this bill.
So what is the solution? Democrats and Liberals are always criticizing Republicans and Conservatives for complaining but coming up with no solutions. So here is one: Go with the Republicans on this one, make it so Private Insurance Companies can compete-Nationally. Just as the commercial says: "When Banks Compete You Win" well when insurance companies compete you win! Leave insurance up to patients and their doctors, not up to lobbyists and millionaires in Washington. Who wouldn't use this "Public Option" for their dogs.

Until Next Time!

Barack Obama's Speech & His Broken Promises

Hey Everyone, I am back. LOL :-)
Barack Obama recently made a speech to be shown tomorrow at schools. Some people say that he is only trying to encourage students to make good choices. The problem I have with that is that he tried to sneek it by, showing it to kids that have no say in what they see in school. Some schools have alerted parents of the time they will be showing the speech and have made it optional. Other parents have decided to make Sept. 8 National Skip School Day. I think that is a bit strong, I think it is good for children to hear President Barack Obama speak. But most of all it is all for his career and poll numbers. People say their is no hidden motive... but I don't think that is entirely true. For a kid watching the President of the United States make a speech only for them makes kids feel special. Kids will grow up and become voters, he will probably still be politically active when they get a chance to vote. Without jumping to to many conclusions, I believe this is a fair debate... yes he may actually be wanting to boost test scores, all I am saying is that it is very convenient...

There is a website that reports on Barack Obama's progress as President, tracking the promises he made while campaigning. They also prove politicians & others statements true or false. This website is: www.politifact.com. About a year ago, I thought this website was very objective until I realized they report on whatever statements they want. If they want to only post "true" statements on Joe Biden they could make him look like a saint! I rarely check this site anymore, basically because they are a bit biased. Regardless, I was on there recently and I noticed something very interesting... Some of his first promises broken include:
  • Allow 5 days of public comment before signing bills
  • Create a $3,000 tax credit for companies that create jobs

I find this to be interesting because some people think that all of his ideas are terrible. I don't find that to be true. What is sad is that his (few) good ideas don't get made into law. Tax credits and giving the public a chance to voice their opinion (and truely listen to it) are good things, but he didn't do them. His good ideas stay just that, ideas. Which means in my book, he has still failed. I still have hope for our President, but right now I would have no trouble impeaching him.

Sarah Palin update: She recently turned down an offer to speak at a Republican Conference in FL. Their guests included Micheal Steele and Charlie Crist. Sarah Palin certainly would have boosted their turnout :-) A dinner with her is being auctioned off on ebay. The starting bid is $25,000... my prediction is that it could go above 2 million. We will see!

Till next time,

Levi Johnston; Kate Gosselin

Hey Everyone:)
Today I will be blogging about two not so world changing topics. In case you haven't heard, Levi Johnston-Bristol Palin's old flame/father of her baby, is"dating" Kathy Griffin. Yep that's right Kathy Griffin D-List celebrity/comedian, went to the Teen Choice awards hand & hand together. Levi has been on Tyra and released statements about Sarah Palin's family and her political life. On Tyra he stated that he would vote for Sarah Palin if she chose to run for President of the United States in the near future. However, he recently said in a statement that due to the fact that Palin resigned from her seat as Gov. of Alaska that he felt he could not vote for her if she chose to run for public office. I find this to be very interesting, he has said that he would consider a reality show and a book deal... But now he is seen smitten with Kathy Griffin? Really? Why would he date someone 29 years older than him? It is sad, but I have come to the conclusion that it is just for fame. I was holding out for Levi hoping that he wouldn't turn for that, but Kathy Griffin? He is 19 years old, with a baby. Come on, that is ridiculous.
On a sad note, Kate Gosselin recently went on the Today Show to talk about her life as she knows it. She was crying, talking about how she continues to wear her wedding band for her children and how the divorce would have happened with or without the cameras. I find this story sad for a few reasons but mainly because they think their kids won't be affected in a negative way. They are being followed by the paparazzi every day, their house isn't private... even with a gate and many acres. And their parents face is on at least one magazine cover a week in ever grocery store in America. Jon Gosselin was right about one thing... his kids will google him one day and find all this and they can't deny it... it's on camera, forever. Whether the divorce would have happened with or without the cameras isn't the question (you will never know anyway)... the question is what is going to happen when the kids see those tapes? This season of Jon & Kate Plus 8 has been filled with mainly tears, and fights. No kid should have to hear their teary-eyed mother say that she had one day where she let herself cry her eyes out over their divorce. Then go to the grocery store and see a tabloid with "dad" out partying with 3 different women.... Cameras or not it is very sad.

Hey Everyone,

Sarah Palin just made this statement today: The America I know and love is not one in which my parents or my baby with Down Syndrome will have to stand in front of Obama’s “death panel” so his bureaucrats can decide, based on a subjective judgment of their “level of productivity in society,” whether they are worthy of health care. Such a system is downright evil. end quote. I am so proud to have her on our side! That is great how she is standing up no that she isn't Governor anymore she can say almost anything she wants! I am a big Sarah Palin fan!

On a sad note... Billy Mayes' autopsy was revealed today. As it turns out part of the reason why he died was from cocaine that he used only days before his death. That is a tragedy. It was such a shock when he died and now it's even worse that is could have been prevented. He was a 50 year old who had a heart attack in his sleep. The official cause of death is Heart Disease, but cocaine is listed as a contributing factor. If he would have found out about his heart disease, and stopped the cocaine use odds are very good that he would have survived.

Something that makes me outraged... Obama has a new unwanted poster circulating around L.A. He is portrayed as a "joker" and the Democrats and the Liberals are upset over the fact that someone would even think about disgracing a president like that! But the truth is they did that and so much worse to Former President George W. Bush. I have posted the picture below, you can see for yourself. (Normally I would not spread such photos but I believe this warrants a discussion.) You see Vanity Fair published Bush "Joker" pictures in their magazine in 2008.

This is from Fox News.com here is the link

NOTE: I only posted the Obama Joker picture because the Bush photo is just plain creepy and it is a painting... This looks as though someone just "painted" with their computer a "mask" on Barack Obama. If you want to see it the link above to Fox News is to the slide show of Bush & Obama Joker and other pictures.

I hope this post was informative!

My New Blog!

Hey everyone!
This is my first blog and I am so excited! I am a pro-life, conservative, Christian. I listen to Rush Limbaugh and Ann Coulter often. I am mostly fed up with who is in office right now. My favorite presidents are Ronald Wilson Reagan and George Herbert Walker Bush. The second isn't so popular but I trust him (something I unfortunately cannot say about out current President). I gave Barack Obama a chance, and he failed horribly. He has spent way too much and has nothing to show for it. I want a president who is willing to declare war if need be, but he is too concerned about popularity to think about the country he is supposed to be working for. I am strongly against Government run health care, because I believe it is just another way to control Americans. Let Americans decide for themselves.
Sonia Sotomayor has been confirmed, sad sad day. I don't support her because she has an agenda to encourage reverse discrimination. She has already proved that in the case with the firefighters. The Senate voted her in 68-31 I am sad to say a Republican senator, Lamar Alexander from my state (TN) supported her nomination. When asked why, he said it was because he believed the President of the United States should have the right to choose. That is so absurd to me, even though you have an opportunity to object to someone become a Supreme Court Justice-for the rest of their life, you won't because of a technicality? Needless to say I will never vote for him.
I have small business owners in the family so every tax increase concerns all of us. Concerning Obama's 787 billion dollar "stimulus" that was such a loss, on so many levels. Almost 1 trillion dollars went where? Does anyone really know? Because as far as I am concerned it was just another way to pay off his cronies. Although I am nor Republican or Democrat for life I thought this video may bring some laughs from the Republican National Commitee:
